President/Business Manager/Financial Secretary, Jack Wells Retires
Executive Board Elects Vice President, Brad Stevens To Be His Successor
Executive Board Chairman, Mark Flowers announced today that President/ Business Manager/Financial Secretary, Jack Wells retired effective August 1. Jack has served the Brotherhood with distinction and honor for more than two decades, and served Local 50 in the top position since 1999. Jack’s foresight, vision, and ability to select top people to serve the membership has positioned the Local for ongoing success.
Flowers also reports that the Board unanimously elected Brad Stevens as his successor. Brad has served the IBEW since 1983 in every capacity from Steward to President/Business Manager. He currently serves the members as Vice President, Assistant Business Manager, and Senior Business Representative. He also serves as Vice President of the Virginia AFL-CIO.
In other action today, the Board named Van Thrash to succeed Stevens as Vice President.
Van currently serves the Local Union as Business Representative and will continue in that role.
